West Valley Medical Center, Caldwell´s community hospital, is one of the leading hospital facilities and employers in Idaho.  The 150 bed, nationally accredited facility is dedicated to providing high-quality, cost effective healthcare to Treasure Valley residents.  For the layout of their new Imaging Center erstad ARCHITECTS focused on producing a product that would work within the existing suite to minimize unnecessary costs.  Designed to reduce patient stress and anxiety, the new Imaging Center focuses on the experience of the visit.  Our goal was to create a positive environment for both the patient and care giver.  Unique wallcovering, interesting accessories and soothing music play a part in the overall experience of patient as well as employees.  Various textures, shapes and colors come together to create a cohesive calming environment.  The focus on smooth river stones, photography by a local artist, and related accessories combined with crisp white accents creates a balance between the natural and built environment.
