| August 23, 2004 Idaho Business Review Baird's plans Fairview production building Baird's Dry Cleaners plans to build an 8,500 square foot production center on the north side of Fairview, east of Curtis Road, Boise. An 1,800 square foot building on the site, which includes a Baird's drop-off store, will be torn down, said Shannon Liggett, president and co-owner. She expects construction to start in mid-September and conclude in late January. The planned $950,000 building was designed by Erstad Thornton Architects and will be built by Ellsworth Kincaid Construction. Baird's operates production centers on North Eighth Street and no Broadway Avenue in Boise. The company also has two drop-off stores, and aims to pen a third by the end of September in a shopping center at Chinden Boulevard and Eagle Road, Liggett said. Production-center workers process items gathered from the drop-off stores and from a pick-up-and-delivery service operating throughout Ada County. Liggett said the company plans to convert the Eighth Street location into a drop-off store after moving production from there to Fairview. |
