Create Common Good T.I.

Create Common Good is a Boise non-profit that specializes in training refugees & at-risk individuals culinary skills to obtain jobs in the workforce. They are unique in that they didn’t just need a commercial kitchen; they needed a training area that could also be converted into a large dining room for their special Supper Clubs that allow donors to sample the amazing food that comes from their kitchen. This Supper Club immerses itself into the kitchen so that the kitchen staff and diners become part of each other’s experience. CCG also prepares food for local school programs and grocery markets utilizing produce from their own expansive gardens. This meant they required large cooler & freezer space as well as a loading and unloading area. Part of the program for training individuals is about individual health and wellness, not just cooking; overly large shower and toilet facilities are also located onsite. erstad ARCHITECTS gave them a colorful yet practical interior that is a strong backdrop for the energy that exudes through the staff and overall message of CCG: helping people.
