The Valencia Senior Apartment building near the Snake River in Fruitland is a two-story housing development designed to provide affordable senior living in an underserved demographic. The community offers 48 one and two-bedroom apartment homes that are energy-efficient, include abundant windows, private patios, garages, and outside storage.
With responsible, sustainable design and LEED certification as a goal from the onset, energy systems, building materials, water use, construction methods, and landscape directions were thoroughly evaluated by the design team and implemented for systems to work cohesively to achieve LEED.
The US Green Building Council awarded the project LEED Platinum certification for sustainability and energy efficiency. Special Designation: LEED Platinum
