YMCA Camp

erstad has worked with the Treasure Valley Family YMCA designing their newest camp at Horsethief Reservoir since 2003. It is the YMCA’s intent to provide campers, and all other users, with an ‘Idaho Camp’ experience that promotes learning and cooperation.

Once the infrastructure was completed for the water treatment, holding, supply and waste the focus was on the pole barn which was used as a temporary dining facility. Attached to the Pole Barn is a restroom/shower building for the 10 yurts. In 2008 the Pavilion was completed and in 2010 ten camper cabins were completed. The Dining Hall and Staff Housing were completed in 2013. Additionally, the project includes a few program facilities consisting of group campfire area, individual site fire rings, archery, swimming area, docs and covered open air pavilion.
