YMCA Camp

erstad ARCHITECTS has worked with the Treasure Valley Family YMCA designing their newest camp at Horsethief Reservoir since 2003. It is the YMCA’s intent to provide campers, and all other users, an ‘Idaho Camp’ experience that promotes learning and cooperation.

Once the infrastructure was completed for the water treatment, holding, supply and waste the focus was on the pole barn which was used as a temporary dining facility. Attached to the Pole Barn is a restroom/shower building for the 10 yurts. In 2008 the Pavilion was completed and in 2010 ten camper cabins were completed prior to the Grand Opening in 2010. The Dining Hall and Staff Housing were completed in 2013.

Additionally the project includes a number of program facilities consisting of group camp fire area, individual site fire rings, archery, swimming area, docs and covered open air pavilion.
